What actually decides it

On a route the constraints are different: properties per day, what fits on the trailer, and how the last lawn of the day gets cut as well as the first. Deck width sets throughput, the seat or platform decides whether hour eight is as good as hour one, and serviceability decides how much a breakdown costs you in lost stops.

The tightest gate on the property sets the ceiling. Everything above it is time saved per pass.
